MENTAL HEALTH – THE SOCIALLY INCLUSIVE LIFE PROJECT took place as part of a Grundtvig 2 – Learning Partnerships, Socrates programme.

It was a three-year project involving the following partners:

  • Persona – Mental Health Promotion Association Barreiro, Portugal (project co-ordinator)


  • InterMinds, Edinburgh, Scotland, in association with the Highland Users Group (HUG), Inverness, Scotland


  • JOIA – Organized and Active Youth in association with ADDEM – Mental Health Users Association and with SPORA – Psychosocial Consultancy, Barcelona, Spain


  • Child and Family Mental Health Association in co-operation with the Association of Families ‘Open Mind’, Rzeszów, Poland


  • Estuar Foundation, Bucharest, Romania.”


The general goal of the project was to provide learning opportunities that would give participants insight and experiences that they could integrate with their own life projects.
This would be in key areas related to social inclusion, namely:

  • Social roles


  • Leisure time


  • Work


  • Active citizenship


  • Empowerment.
